There are so many options out there when it comes to bras. Finding a reliable one that doesn’t break the bank is time consuming but worth it. So what is the best pumping and nursing bra out there?
Best Pumping and Nursing Bras
To aid in your search, I’m listing my top nursing and pumping bra recommendations plus some accessories!
For the money: Freya’s Molded Cup Nursing Bras
Top Features:
- Easy clip adjust feature for nursing access
- Looks like a non-nursing bra – cute design features available
- Highly supportive
Remember that investment that I mentioned? Insert Freya. If you can spare the extra cash, Freya is totally worth it. It’s my all time favorite.
I purchased mine from Nordstrom. I lived in this bra when I was nursing. Though it does have underwire (I feel like I have to wear underwire, personally because I just feel better, I look better, you know…).
I wore this one when I left the house so I looked like a decent individual. They are cute, come with lace at the top, and allow clipping to nurse. It is definitely my number one pick when it comes to pumping and nursing bras!
For newbies: Bravado’s Nursing Bra
Top Features:
- No underwire for maximum comfort and mobility
- Made with sustainable fabrics
- Nursing and pumping friendly design
This bra is pretty popular, and bonus: it doesn’t have underwire. This worked best for me when I was in the hospital and milk was coming in. It has a lot of good stretch and is very comfortable. Again, perfect for when your milk is coming in because your boobs are going to get humongous (trust me!).
For comfort: Cake Maternity’s Cotton Candy Nursing Bra
Top Features:
- Easy slip on design
- Incredibly comfortable, non-restrictive design
- Great for changing breast sizes
I love Cake Maternity’s nursing bras and I have some of their jammies, too, which are super cozy. These bras are perfect for nursing! They come with a racerback and are easy to slip on over your head like a sports bra. Comfort is very important to me and these are super comfortable.
For Pumping: Simple Wishes’ Hands Free Bra
Top Features:
- Hands-Free Functionality
- Underwire free for maximum comfort
- Compatible for all electric breast pumps
Do I need to say hands-free again? This handy little number is perfect for pumping moms, especially if you’re going back to work. It’s kind of like a bandeau. You wrap it around you, it zips in the front and then you put the pump in the front so you don’t have to hold it.
This pumping bra was an absolute must for me. It’s not super expensive and it’s totally worth it. So much easier to be hands-free so you can take care of other things!

Top Pumping and Nursing Bra Accessories
#1 Nursing Pads
Bamboobies Reusable Nursing Pads are perfect for when you have leaky boobs when nursing. Simply put them inside of your bra. They even come in cute little heart shapes!
#2 Bra Extenders
Don’t forget your bra extenders! These are great during pregnancy so you don’t have to get a new bra for every trimester! I wore this bra extender during pregnancy and it was perfect for helping transition to each trimester.
#3 Cold Packs
For some relief try using cold packs on your breasts. These 3 in 1 Therapy Packs can be used cold or hot, and if your breasts are engorged, clogged or sore the ice can help decrease inflammation. If you want soothing, heat may be your preferred option.
#4 Wearable Breast Pumps
Over the last few years, breast pumps are finally improving to become more convenient, portable and efficient. New wearable pumps have hit the market. They all vary with respect to pricing, insurance coverage, and benefits, but overall they all have a convenience factor.
The Elvie pump was one of the first of its kind and has several different options. Another crowd favorite is the Willow pump which claims to be leak-proof and works alongside an app from your phone.
The most affordable option is the Momcozy mobile pumps. There are several options and these are similar to the Willow and Elvie pumps but run at a lower price point.
